Welcome to the Madison & Oneida County Amateur Radio Resource (MOCARR)


Thank you for taking the time to visit MOCARR, a new website dedicated to Amateur Radio in Central New York. This web site was developed in order to provide Amateurs with a single location where they can learn about upcoming Amateur Radio activities in Oneida County and Madison County as well as the surrounding counties. This web site is not affiliated with any club or organization and we hope that you take the time to look around. Also, please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments or suggestions that you may have. Registration is free and your user account will allow you to post messages in the forum area as well as submit news for inclusion on the front page.

Amateur Radio Upcoming Amateur Radio Events/Activities

The following nets are held very often:

Black River Valley Service Net - Every Day - 9PM on the 146.655-

Weather Net - Monday thru Friday - 8:30PM on the 145.170-



Practice your traffic handling skills on local traffic nets including:

Central New York Traffic Net

CNYTN is held nightly at 9 p.m. on 147.90/30 with a call-up made on 40/00 except Thursday when net is held on 40/00 with a call-up made on 90/30. Checkins are also accepted on the NYS 2M Statewide Link System.

The Oneida County Traffic & Emergency net (OCTEN)

Early Session Week Days at 6:30 pm 146.760 - with call-ups about 6:35 pm on
the following frequencies: 145.110 - 145.170 - 146.610 - 146.655 - 146.940 – 146.850 -146.880 -.

Late Session Nightly at 9:30 pm 145.170 – or 146.880 - with a 9:35 pm call up on the 145.760
– and either the 145.170 – or 146.880 – (which ever freq is not the primary Net frequency).
